The 2025 MINI Cooper Convertible features a 161-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This is more powerful than the 2024 MINI Cooper Convertible, which comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that makes 134 hp.

Appearance

Everything about the MINI Cooper Convertible's charming exterior expresses its fun personality. This is a two-door vehicle with a fold-down trunk lid. The profile is aerodynamic with a beautifully curved nose. Across the sides, smooth contouring rounds subtly from fender to fender. At the front end, the tall, wide grille covers most of the space. It's easy to notice the grille has been refreshed for the new model year. The grille is outlined in chrome, and its dark mesh is intersected by a thick, body-colored band.

Comparing the 2025 and 2024 models, there are also updated LED headlights. The headlights are oval-shaped to align with MINI's design language. The headlights are set in a ring of dark molding as well as a ring of LED lighting. Upper and lower LED bars cross the headlights. The drop-top folds back in only 18 seconds, and it can be operated on the go at up to 19 miles per hour. While the 2025 MINI Cooper Convertible is completely redesigned, it's style represents more of an evolution over the previous model than a revolution. One of the most noticeable differences is that the 2025 model comes with 17-inch wheels while the 2024 model comes with 16-inch wheels along with new wheel designs.

Features

The 2025 MINI Cooper Convertible's dashboard design is minimalistic. It lacks a digital instrument panel; instead, a large heads-up display provides vital vehicle stats. The center of the dashboard features a protruding, circular 9.4-inch touch display screen. This is larger than the 8.8-inch touchscreen found in the 2024 model. This system can be controlled by both voice and touch and sports a customizable display. The Always Open Timer tells you how long you spend driving with your top down.
