The small MINI Cooper 2 Door is a boldly designed hatchback with endless appeal. It was fully redesigned in its 2025 model year, so the updates to the 2026 model year are minimal. These changes are all found in the all-new John Cooper Works Style package.

Every MINI Cooper 2 Door is available with the John Cooper Works Style package. This package enhances performance with adaptive dampers and aerodynamic touches. It also upgrades the style with a unique wheel design, mirror cap graphics, special roof designs, and striped paint.

Otherwise, the 2026 MINI Cooper 2 Door has all of the same appealing traits as the 2025 model year. The spunky design is defined by a flat hood and a tall roof that cascades dramatically into the flat nose. The sides are sleekly contoured with a hint of definition, and dark molding runs across the entire lower perimeter of the door panels and fenders. At the front, the dark grille covers most of the space. Squared-off air inlets and circular headlights frame it. LED accent lights surround the headlights.

The MINI Cooper 2 Door continues to be available with your choice of two powertrains. The first system features a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 161-horsepower turbo engine. The alternative is a sport-tuned version of that engine, which produces 201 horsepower. Both systems come with front-wheel drive and a seven-speed, dual-clutch auto transmission.

The entry-level Signature trim gives you synthetic leather and cloth upholstery, ambient cabin lighting, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, heated seats, a 9.4-inch central display screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, forward collision avoidance, lane departure mitigation, and parking sensors. Higher trim packages include an interior camera, keyless entry, an auto-dimming mirror, a wireless device charger, adaptive cruise control, a navigation system, automated parking assistance, and other features.
